I let my Mom and Aunt plan the entire wedding. It was great - we just showed up and had the most spectacular day.

The Theme/Decor
Silver with blue lights. We had blue lights in all the flower arrangements, bouquets, and boutonnieres and on the cake. Our centerpieces were white roses with lilies surrounded by top hats with blue lights on the table. The lights added an elegant glow to the evening.
The Menu
Mexican buffet and an open bar.
The Flowers
We asked each guest to bring a flower. We then put all the flowers together to create my bouquet and my maid of honors bouquet – they were huge and gorgeous! The bridesmaids’ bouquets were red roses with blue lights in silver flower baskets.
The Favors
We had bags that looked like tuxedos filled with wedding bubbles, candy, pens, notepads and fun stuff!
Special Touches
The groomsmen and bridesmaids’ dipped each other on the porch before walking down the aisle. The flower girl and ring bearer did the same – everyone loved it.
I made my own shoes. I bought light-up shoes then glued silver fabric and glitter. All the bridesmaids wore shoes that light-up as well.
My Uncle ordained himself online so he could marry us.
For my bachelorette party all the girls dressed in camo and high heels – it was so much fun!
Best thing about the Day
Besides marring Heath, it was my dress. I loved being able to wear a beautiful fancy dress and the magic that surrounded us, was like a dream.
What would you do Different
I would have had the ceremony inside because the wind was so bad.
I would have taken the pictures earlier in the day.
My Advice
1. Always trust your gut feelings, even if it’s more expensive.
2. Take plenty of time to plan, at least a year if you can.
