Family/Friends in an elegant setting.
The Flowers
White roses sprayed with periwinkle tips, with a purple sage embedded within.
The Food
Prime rib and Chicken breast in a lemon sauce, Augratin potatoes, mixed vegetable, salad, rolls, coffee, tea.
The Cake
A 6-tier cheesecake cover in white chocolate and white and periwinkle frosted roses.
The Favors
A personalized periwinkle/platinum/white soft candy mint.
Special Touches
A slide show of us as children, our family and close friends in past events and pictures of our life in Alaska. A personalized piece of pottery that all in attendance could sign, along with the 2 photo mattes with a picture of us for all to sign. We both wrote our own vows. The best man was my 9 year old son, and one of the grooms man was my dad. Long term friends as my brides maids.
For my bridal shower we went to a, make it your own pottery shop, and everyone was able to pick out a piece of pottery and personalize it for us however they wanted. We drank wine and listened to music while laughing and hanging out. It was very personal. Now we will have a piece of pottery from everyone in attendance with their personal touch to it on our shelf in our house in Alaska.
Best thing about the Day
We were able to share this wonderful day with our closest friends and family.
Our Advice
Start planning as early as you can, don't sweat the small things, be flexible, and remember this day is about you and your soon to be companion, the family and friends you choose to be in attendance, and the memories you will take away from your wedding. Make it just how you want it, and sit back and enjoy because before you know it, it has passed you by..
