Your wedding day will be one of the most beautiful days in your life...you want to make sure you look your best!
Here are some tips to help prevent a frantic wedding day morning while making certain you look and feel your absolute best!
1. Choose a beauty consultant several weeks before your wedding and implement a skin, nail, hair and exercise regime. Don't forget to schedule a dental cleaning.
2. Go through magazines to help you decide how you want your makeup to look before you meet with an artist or purchase any cosmetics. Hiring a make-up artist is essential. Makeup must be applied specifically for your photographs and it must last all day.
3. Three to nine months before the wedding date have a preview makeover with a makeup artist. If you are not able to see the artist in person (for example, if you are getting married out of town), ask for her references and samples (photographs) of her work. Put a deposit down to hold your date and get a contract.
4. Know whether you will be having color and/or black and white photography. If you are having black and white stay away from blue-reds; you may also need a little extra contouring. A professional makeup artist knows how to do this.
5. Give some thought to your eyebrows. Properly groomed and shaped brows help enhance and add expression to the face and are without doubt an essential step to completing any makeup application. Have the makeup artist groom them at your preview or lesson. Don't wait until the wedding day to shape them the very first time.
6. Purchase the lipstick and lip liner to keep in a purse for the whole day. If applied properly, the rest of the makeup should not need to be touched up.
7. Drink plenty of water the week before your wedding, and get as much rest as possible. Use good skin care the months preceding your wedding. The makeup will sit much better if your skin is as flawless as possible and well hydrated.
8. Make certain your makeup foundation is the correct color. If you have been tanning or have lost a tan since you purchased your foundation you will need to have it adjusted.
9. The day before your wedding; schedule an entire afternoon for your manicure, pedicure, facial, and a relaxing massage. Invite your moms and bridal party along for the afternoon, this will ensure everyone looks great for your big day.
10. Do arrange to have a relaxed
morning. If possible have the makeup artist and hairstylist come
to you. sit back, relax, knowing you will look and feel your best.
Schedule this far in advance..many many brides have had to get
their hair done at 5:00 am!
You want to look your very best in the hundred of photographs being snapped throughout the day.
