Typical Destination Wedding Weekend Schedule

Plan on several get togethers with your wedding party, family and out-of-town guests.

Friday - the Rehearsal Dinner.
Today's rehearsal dinners are a much larger soiree including out-of-town guests; a casual get together not to upstage the wedding. The idea is to welcome friends and family and have them get to know one another. If you prefer to keep the rehearsal dinner small, appoint a friend to host a BBQ for the out-of-town guests while you are at your rehearsal dinner.

Saturday - the Wedding Event.
If you are having an evening wedding, you'll want to have lunch with your attendants as well as arrange a few sight seeing/fun activities for everyone else.

Sunday - the Morning-after Brunch is a thoughtful farewell gesture. Hosted by one of the parents, it's a great time to thank everyone for attending and listen to stories from the
wedding the newlywed couple may have missed.

Your wedding is not limited to a weekend event. Many couples plan an entire week of activities starting the weekend before and leading up to the wedding day. There is so much to see and do in Southwest Colorado rest assured, you will wish you had more time to enjoy the area!

“It had been a dream of mine since I was a little girl to get married by a stream in the Colorado mountains. I have always thought Colorado was an amazingly beautiful and magical place!”

“Our wedding took place atop a mountain under perfect bright blue skies surrounded by rich green grass and wildflowers, we could not have asked for a better day! Our friends and family flew in from across the country to join us in our weekend long celebration. Our guests had the opportunity to experience Colorado's beautiful scenery and fun activities.”

“As I started to walk down the aisle to take my vows, I stepped onto a weather rustic deck and the scenery immediately took my breath away! All I could see is a brilliant blue sky, white snowcapped mountains and the golden glow of fall colors across the horizon. This combined with close friends and family watching every step I took created a breathtaking memory I will always cherish.”

“We had a mellow laid-back four-day Colorado Destination Wedding weekend. With family and friends flying in from around the world, we knew our guests would enjoy Colorado’s natural beauty and crisp mountain air.”

“Although it snowed the morning of our wedding, by mid-afternoon the sun was shining and the skies were a brilliant blue. Snowcapped mountain peaks and spectacular fall colors created an absolutely gorgeous backdrop for our mountain-top wedding.”
